Thomas S. Berntsen enjoyed a twenty-five year career as a commercial photographer working on assignments for leading shelter magazines as well as shooting for prestigious fabric houses, furniture and decorative accessory establishments.

In 2002 Berntsen began working on a collection of silver gelatin photographs and has been developing the Dancing Leaves series ever since. He is now integrating his photography into large mixed media pieces that continue to morph into new avenues of artistic expression.
Thomas S. Berntsen is devoted to creating photographic works that touch the heart and celebrate beauty. The Dancing Leaves collection is a labor of love and his artistic life statement. He is an active member of the Silvermine Art Guild in New Canaan, Connecticut and his work is exhibited in galleries throughout the United States.
